Board Chair

Scott Metzger is one of the founding members of CRS Insurance Brokerage, serving as its President for 25 years. During those years, Scott sat on numerous agent advisory boards in addition to two terms as the secretary-treasurer for the states insurance trade organization, the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado.

Scott has always felt the calling to give back to the community that has contributed so much to the success of CRS. In 2015, he started CRS Gives Back, a division of CRS Insurance Brokerage and supported by the company, to give financial assistance and volunteer support to local charities. In 2022, Scott incorporated CRS Gives Back, Inc. and obtained the 501(c)3 nonprofit certification in order to increase the impact and expand the financial assistance and volunteer support it gives to local charities.

Amy Metzger
Vice Chairperson

Amy Metzger is a surgical technologist who has served as a board member for the past 10 years on the local nonprofit organization, Mending Faces. She has volunteered on 11 separate missions with the medical team of Mending Faces by traveling to the countries of Columbia and The Philippines, making a difference in the lives of children and their families affected by cleft lip and cleft palate deformities.

Prior to Mending Faces, Amy served as a board member for Face The Challenge by participating in medical missions serving the cleft lip and cleft palate community in countries such as Vietnam and Bolivia.

Amy is a Colorado native and looks forward to the opportunity to give back and continue to serve her local community as a board member and volunteer for CRS Gives Back alongside her husband Scott, founder of CRS Gives Back, Inc.

David Hite
Board Member

David Hite is a tenured Partner at CRS Insurance Brokerage whose philanthropy was engrained in him through his parents, who constantly presented him with opportunities to serve his local community. David is a firm believer in supporting the community that supports him in any way necessary. He brings a strong financial background in terms of assessing nonprofits that make the highest impact and he takes his role as a steward to his financial partners seriously.

From 2010 to 2020, David was an active member of local nonprofit Denver 2030, recently rebranded as the Denver Children’s Foundation. He had the pleasure of serving for seven years on the grand review committee and three years as the grand review chair, a seat on the board of directors responsible for allocating grants up to one million dollars as well as the oversight of funds distributed to partners such as the Denver Post Community Foundation.

David now serves as a legacy member of the Denver Children’s Foundation, a role highly involved in mentoring his successor to Grand Review Chair, in addition to being a Board Member of the Associated Builder’s & Contractors; Rocky Mountain Chapter and CRS Gives Back, Inc.

Shae Gallo
Board Member

Shae Gallo is a tenured insurance professional and account executive for CRS Insurance Brokerage. She has always had a passion for giving back starting at a young age when she would volunteer at local assisted living facilities helping residents decorate their suites for Christmas.

Shae is heavily involved in her local community. In addition to serving as vice president on the board for CRS Gives Back, Inc., she also serves on other volunteer committees in the Denver area. Her philanthropic past includes executing full-day volunteer events including property improvements at Savio House and classroom updates at Bryant Webster Elementary School.

In 2011, Shae was awarded the FAO Schwartz Award by the Community Action Committee, an annual distinction given to members of the community that are recognized as fantastic advocates for others.
